The first GOCRA meeting of 2011 will be held on Tuesday, January 11 in Minneapolis. Everyone is invited. We apologize for the short notice, but wanted to meet as early as possible in the legislative session.
We will be discussing our strategy for the 2011 legislative session, introducing and re-introducing the GOCRA leadership team, and showing off the new GOCRA logo, web site and social media activities. We’ll also talk about ways that you can get directly involved in not just protecting, but expanding our gun rights.
One of our goals in 2011 is to make GOCRA more interactive, accessible, and member-centric. Minnesota gun owners are a well-informed, motivated bunch, and with a little coordination, together we can move mountains (some of you will remember our phone calls and emails shutting down the Senate Majority Leader’s office in 2005, forcing a vote on the repassage of the carry law).
The meeting starts at 7 at the American Legion, Minneapolis Post #1, at 2507 E. 25th St., Minneapolis, MN 55406. You can see a map and get directions here: http://goo.gl/maps/Lvo6
If you wish, you can arrive from 5:30 to 6:00 and enjoy dinner with us. The Legion serves burgers, sandwiches, steak, and soups made from scratch, and it’s also Taco Tuesday, with two tacos for $3, as well as quesadillas and other Mexican favorites. All entrees are $10 or less.
